Obituary for Robert Alexander Roy

Robert Alexander Roy

Passed away peacefully in his 84th year with loved ones by his side. Very best friend and deeply missed husband of Kathleen for 47 years. Dear father of Nicolas and Jennifer and stepfather to Paul and Tim. Survived by his sister Suzanne, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends Fausto and Mary. Predeceased by his brother Raymond as well as wives Carol and Jane.

His love of classical music, the ocean and an enthusiasm to learn remained with him throughout his life. He was creative, loving to design and build with no project too big or small. He had the ability to quickly master anything he set his mind to. With no prior experience he built and sailed his own catamaran in both the Georgian Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

Robert lived his life with passion and faced his death with dignity leaving behind fond memories for all who knew him. Warm thanks and much gratitude to Dr. Baguio at Stronach Regional Cancer Centre and Southlake Hospital. A special thank you to nurse Dale Anderson for her compassion and wit.

"Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear."
