PONTO, Ilse Gunhild (Nee Von Doeler)
Passed away Sunday morning, March 24, 2019, at The Pines in Bracebridge, where she had lived for the past two and a half years. Ilse was born the youngest of five, on Nov 26, 1922 at the family farm in Rutherglen, Ontario. Ilse was raised on the family farm and later moved to Toronto, where she met her husband Ben of 69 years. Once married they moved to Ben’s farm in Waseca, Saskatchewan. In 1958, they moved to Newmarket with their son and daughter. Ilse was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In October of 2015, Ilse and Ben moved to Muskoka. Visitation will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place in the chapel on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 1 p.m., followed by interment at Newmarket Cemetery.
