To Marg's family: We have only known Marg for 3 months and we always enjoyed the pleasure of her company. Our lasting memory will be of her singing and enjoying the lunch at our Christmas function at Ashton a week ago. She truly had an amazing zest for life. She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to her family. John and Dorothy Horner

Marion, Susan, Dawn and Lynn and families: We offer our condolences to each of you at this time of the death of our cousin Marg. She sure was a spark of life and was a great story teller keeping us in good humour. She also was a go to person giving us the title of the latest book on her reading list. She showed interest in others often about our family members. Memere and Pepere are in the heavens sharing laughter with her now. Blessings upon you Marg. Love, Susan and Jim

Dear Dawn and Lynn. I have never met anyone with such an indomitable spirit. The word indomitable means unconquerable or impossible to defeat. The spirit is the person’s core being, their will power, cheerful and positive attitude and desire to succeed. Having an indomitable spirit means that your fortitude, enthusiasm and moral character are never diminished regardless of the hardships and adversities you face. Marg’s determination to prevail never vanquished even in the face of what appeared to be insurmountable odds. On behalf of the Newmarket Duplicate Bridge Club we send our deepest condolences. Heather Burling, Manager of the Newmarket Duplicate Bridge Club and lucky partner of Marg’s for over 40 years

"Miss Lavigne" was my Grade Five teacher at the former St. Basil's school in mid-town Toronto; when she returned the next September to teach me in Grade Six (it was a split class), she was "Mrs. Melnichuk", and her new husband (David) was quickly co-opted to coach the school's hockey team. Almost 60 years later, she will always be in my mind the same young, pretty, kind, and patient teacher who guided my classmates and me through some of our most formative education years. I trust that her later life was full of the love and happiness that she deserved. My condolences to all her family.
