McCafferty, James - Bravely and peacefully moved on from this life to the next on January 9, 2019. James had a full life of love and laughter, at the foundation of which was his family. He leaves behind his wife and life of 63 years, Catherine, his daughter Anne (Jack) and daughter-in-law Karen (Peter). James was predeceased by his son Brian.
James is also survived by his grandchildren Lindsay (Stephen), Jessica (Junior), Meaghan (Adam), Adam (Rebecca), and Samantha. James' grandson Tyler passed away and will be happy to see his 'Granda' again.
A great source of pride for James were his six Great-Grandchildren - Liam and Maeve, Jordan, Brayden, Asher and Ellis. James' brother, John, and Sister, Margaret, continue to live in Scotland and will miss their brother dearly - James was one of ten children of Maggie and Alexander McCafferty, his other siblings are no longer with us - his sisters Mae, Bette and Agnes and brothers Charlie, Willie, Tommy and Alex. He will be remembered lovingly by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Scotland, England and Australia. In his last days James spoke about an impending party, we take comfort in knowing that is what he is up to now! We welcome close friends and family to join us in celebrating the man, the myth, the legend.
