STOKES, George Arthur – Passed away on April 22, 2019, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, surrounded by his family, at 70 years of age. George is father of Larrie (Catherine) and Shawn (Wendy). Grandfather of Jamie, Justin, Melissa, Dylan and Courtney. Great grandfather of three. Predeceased by his parents Don and Jean Stokes. Brother of the late Mary (Jim), Helen (Wayne), John, the late Ric, Garry, Glenn, the late Sheila, Nancy (Las). George will be missed, but not forgotten by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. At George’s request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at St. John's Cemetery, 250 Old Main Street North, Newmarket, on Saturday, May 25 at 1 p.m. followed by a celebration of life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 426, 707 Srigley Street, Newmarket.
