PHILLIPS, Charles Gregory
Passed away January 9, 2019 with his wife Kathi by his side, at age 66. As well as being an incredible husband, Greg was an incomparable father to his children who survive him: Matthew (Megan), Jessica (Greg), and Peter. He is predeceased by his parents Colin and Velda, and daughter Amelia. Greg will be missed greatly by his sisters Colleen (Terry) and Sharon (David); his four grandchildren, Devon, Leigh, Malcolm, and Colin; his in-laws Peter and Beverly Moote, their family, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Kentville, NS, Greg was an athlete, an outdoorsman, a scientist, a musician, and a woodworker in equal parts. The passion he brought to all areas of his life permeated his relationships. He leaves behind beloved memories, gratitude, and a shining example of the kind of person we should all strive to be. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 19th at Stouffville United Church, 34 Church Street, Stouffville, with visitation an hour beforehand. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yellow Brick House of Newmarket. Arrangements entrusted to the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home. On-line condolences may be made at www.roadhouseandrose.com

Dear Kathi and family. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Greg from Music Mania and community events in Stouffville. Most recently his help to our family as he and Dad arranged for the Men of Note to perform at Mom's Celebration of Life was compassionate and heartfelt. There are no words that can help you through this time, just know that I and many others are thinking of you.

Dear Kathi and family, there are no words to describe how deep the loss of Greg is felt by all who knew him. The sentiments shown in these condolence messages are heartwarming. I didn’t know Greg well but did know him to be a fun, generous, genuine, humourous, devoted family man. We shared a love of woodworking and he produced beautiful pieces in his shop. I know one day, the living room in your new home would have been converted into a wood shop!
He will be remembered as a man of many gifts.
