Magel, Ralph – Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Friday June 11, 2010 in his 76th year. Loving companion of Janet Jennett. Beloved father of Lianne, Daniel and his wife Brenda and Jennifer and her partner Todd. Proud grandfather of Mitchell, Samantha, Brooke, Ashlyn, Deeana and Natalie. Son of the late Ralph and Anna Marie Magel. Ralph was born on March 27, 1935 in Saint Boniface, Manitoba. He attended the University of Toronto and was a high school teacher spending the greater part of his career in Guidance at Huron Heights Secondary School. He enjoyed many hobbies including history, photography and computers. He was a member of the Newmarket Historical Society, the Newmarket Seniors, and the Probus Club. Special thanks to the caring staff of Southlake and St. Michael’s Hospital. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (Water & Main St.), Newmarket on Wednesday June 16th at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the church.
