David "Dave" "Papa" Sawyer
Passed away peacefully at The Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday January 27, 2018 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Dave was in his 65th year. Dave was a loving husband to Karen Sawyer for 34 wonderful and joyful years. Loving and proud father to Ryan and Roxanne Sawyer. Cherished grandfather(papa) to Lucas Sawyer, who was the greatest joy and blessing of his life. Lucas now assumes the care of "Dave the minion". Loving brother to Richard Sawyer and will be forever remembered by a large extended family and countless friends. The Sawyer family gatherings will never be the same without Dave's music and awesome cooking skills. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. Keeping with David's wishes he has been cremated. A celebration of Life will be held in his memory at the Royal Canadian Legion in Newmarket on Thursday February 1, 2018 from 3:00-7:00 pm
